Introduction

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Properly citing sources and adhering to ethical research and writing practices.
  • Ensuring that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research.
  • If using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in research or writing, authors must disclose this usage clearly in the "Methodology" or "Acknowledgment" section.
  • Notifying the editor of any errors discovered in published articles for correction or retraction.

  • Evaluating manuscripts objectively based on their scientific merit.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not using their content for personal gain.
  • Disclosing any potential conflicts of interest and declining to review in such cases.

  • Ensuring a fair and ethical review process before publication.
  • Overseeing a transparent and unbiased peer-review system.
  • Investigating and addressing any ethical misconduct, such as plagiarism or data fabrication.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Research and Writing

The "Iranian Economic Development Analyses "emphasizes that AI tools should not be listed as authors. The use of AI-based tools (such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, DeepL, etc.) is permitted only as an assistive technology for writing, translation, or editing purposes. Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of AI-generated content. Failure to disclose AI usage may be considered a violation of publication ethics.

Scientific Misconduct and Corrective Actions

In cases of scientific misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication), the journal will follow COPE guidelines and take appropriate actions, such as rejecting the article, issuing corrections, or notifying relevant institutions.
